Plants, Plants & More Plants
I am not a very good gardener. I have not studied enough to claim
that kind of title. I sure do enjoy diggin' in the dirt though.
(when my back will let me)

I have, however had some good luck in finding what will work by
asking questions. As always, 99% of all pond people are very
willing to help if you will just ask and then listen to what info is
given. Then go home and try that method out and see how it fits
YOUR garden.

NOT EVERY PIECE OF INFO OR METHOD WILL WORK
FOR EVERYONE.  ALL OUR WATER GARDENS &
SURROUNDING  GARDENS ARE DIFFERENT.
AND I AM GLAD FOR THAT DIFFERENCE.

Listed in this section are the methods I use to grow my pond
plants. In 2004, I averaged 15 or more blooms per day with 8
Hardy Water Lilies in the pond.
I have had as many as 31 blooms on a given day (August 15,
2004).

I have also listed what we do for plants outside the pond.
REMEMBER:
There are only 2, thats right, TWO STUPID questions.
#1 is the question that is not ask.
#2 is the question that is ask over & over & over & over- - - - -
But that is JMHO.
Below are some photos taken 8/3/06.  Just look at the pond as it is now.
Also some other plants around the yard.
Under the deck is where I have my Vortex Filter, 2 Mechanical
Filters & the Pump House.
All are easily accessed by lifting a portion of the deck that is
directly over each item.
The deck will eventually get a "Pergola" overhead and some
cedar lattice up the back for some vines to grow up.
A Hen & Chicks   blooming.  This is the first bloom we
have had on the these plants.
We really like this "Purple Plant" . Actually it is a
"Wandering Jew Plant".
The more sunlight it gets, the darker the purple color gets.
Canna "Tropicana" flanked on the left by "Ribbon Grass" & on the right by
some plain old "Beach Grass" from a beach at Tokeland, Washington.

IF YOU GROW THE BEACH GRASS---- watch it ---it is a spreader.   I have
it planted in a buried, bottomless bucket & the roots have grown down &
under the bottom lip. I will have to dig it out this fall and cut it back down to
size. I used  a 6 gallon flower bucket that is 26" tall.
But it is a pretty, flowing grass.
